Just wondering - if I go ahead and purchase an AP voucher online or at the Disney Store, can I check in at AKL and receive the AP rate? Or would I need to stop by Guest Relations at a park or DTD to activate the voucher before going to the hotel? I'm hoping you can just check in with the voucher and then activate it later!!! Would like to drop my bags off first and all, ya know!! Thanks to all!!

I just got an AP rate for my April stay. We are arriving at night, so I hope to be able to check-in with the voucher.

Also, does anyone know when ordering the AP online or via phone, approximately how long it takes to receive the voucher?

Three possibilities when you show up at the resort desk - first, you don't even get asked. This used to be the most common thing, but I understand they're checking more thoroughly now. If the CM doesn't ask, don't worry. I've only been asked once in all the times I've visited.

Second, they ask, you show 'em the voucher, and they say 'you're good'.

Third, they will have you bring back you activated pass sometime during your stay to verify it. If this happens, don't blow it off, because they *will* revert your reservation to rack rate.

If you get a front desk CM who insists on seeing an activated pass to check in, ask for a supervisor. This isn't policy, and it's almost certainly a CM who is new or has misunderstood their training.

While checking in at the BC in July, the family next to us was checking in under an AP rate. He told the CM he only had the voucher and she smiled and said that's OK, but we will be placing your reservation at rack rate and as soon as you get your AP activated, please stop by the reservation desk and show us, and we will honor your AP rate. The man seemed shocked, but the CM was very cool and accommodating. We were checking in under a CM discount and our CM asked for our ID also, checking both the back and front.

I ordered our APs online Dec 31. ;-) I got them in the mail (standard $3 service) on Jan 7.

My first time for APs. Quite excited about it. Lots of ???, just don't know where to begin, so I am just reading everything I can get my eyes on here.
