Can you change to package when you get there?

I'm wondering if you can book room only and then when you get there change to package to add tickets and DDP? This would mean you could pay when you got there and not have to pay 45 days before except for the room. Has anyone ever done this. We did RO a couple of years agao and then bought tickets ther and pay meals OOP but I do like the DDP so am wondering. It is for budgeting reasons as we go in Jan. and don't have Xmas bonus before the 45 days.

don't think so - you get a little discount for the entire package.

adding last minute especially at wdw you would pay the rack rate for everything even the tickets.

know you have to add the dinning before you arrive.

One thing to note - if you book room only and change to a pkg within 45 days of arrival, full pkg payment will be due at the time of booking - and they cannot transfer the previous deposit or any payments made to the room only reservation.

This is because they must cancel the room only and book a new reservation as a pkg. So be prepared not to have the funds on the room only available to use toward the pkg. If further out than 45 days, a guest would need to make a new deposit on the pkg.

No, you cannot. If you know you want to change, you will want to call CRO and let them know at least 45 days prior to your arrival. This will ensure you recieve all of your package details.

Yes, you can add on the water parks when you check in. You can do this for some or all of the tickets in the package. So if some people want to go and others don't you don't have to add it on everyones.

The DDP can't be purchased at check-in. As noted earlier, it must be done at least 3 days or so in advance.

The DDP is available only as part of a package. Since you can't add the DDP at check-in, there is no reason to decide at check-in to change your room-only reservation to a package. There would be ZERO advantage to doing so.

Even if you book a room-only reservation, you can still reserve tickets in advance as part of that reservation. I know, I know, that makes it sound like a package. It basically is, but you maintain the room-only payment terms.

You can add to or upgrade your park tickets any time within 14 days of your first use of the ticket.

Once you check-in at your resort, your ticket is no longer tied-in to your resort reservaiton in any way. It becomes a totally independent entity that you can do whatever you want with.

We bought 6 days w/ no exp, but only plan on using 4 this trip. We thought about adding another day so we would have 3 left. So we can do that any time as long as it's within 14 days of first use?? Excellent!! Thanks!

It'll cost you about $34 to add a 7th day to your 6-day non-expiring ticket.
