Can you buy AP's at DVC check-in?

I tried to buy an AP at my local DS today to save time on Sunday. Well, there was some computer glitch and the pass couldn't be sold. I was told I could try again later but it was "hit or miss" as far as the computer working. Forget that!

Now, I'll have to buy my AP when I arrive in Orlando. Are they sold at the check-in desk (as are other tickets) or will I have to go to either a Park or Guest Services at DTD instead. I already know the rest of the drill regarding activation. I just need info on where to purchase the AP.

I don't think they sell them at the desk. You'd have to go to Guest Services to activate it in any case. I've always gotten mine at the park.

My two boys thought that the store at the airport was WDW!! Much to the CM's delight!

you can buy them at any of the tickets counters at the theme parks - you go through the entrance way to activiate them - I hate it - it is your finger prints and mind never work!!!

To answer your question directly -

No, you cannot buy annual passes (of any kind) at any of the resorts, including the DVC resorts. As you surmised, you'll have to get them at one of the parks, guest relations at Downtown Disney or one of the Disney stores located at MCO. There are a few other places, but it's unlikey that they will be convenient options for you.
