Can you bring your own golf cart to FW?

I know we have seen people bring their own golf carts and we have a couple of questions.

1. Does disney officially allow this or do they just not say anything?

2. We would be towing a sm trailer on the back of the RV do we park the trailer on the site or up in the main parking lot?

3. Does the golf cart have to have lights?

My FIL wants to buy one but does not want to tow it 1000 miles to find out we can't use it.

Yes, you can bring your own cart but they must be street legal (well, FW street legal anyway) They must have head lights, tail lights, brake lights and a horn. They are supposed to be electric but I have seen many gas powered carts as well. The trailer has to fit either on the driveway or camping pad of your site. Most people leave them in the front parking lot. At $43 a day it does not take long to pay for a cart and trailer. The people across the street from us have one they bought just for FW.

you can bring your personal cart with you, it does need lights, the fort is very dark at night and you need the safety of lights, you can park your trailer behind your site or in the parking lot up front, if you leave it in the parking lot be sure to get a parking pass to attach to the trailer so it does not get towed.
