Do you know what the maximum duty free alcohol is per person?
Thanks!
Kate
That depends on your itinerary.
Most of the talk here has been about the Western itinerary, where the limit is 1 liter per adult over 21.
On the Eastern itinerary, it gets a little interesting. If the cruise stops in the US Virgin Islands or Guam, the rule is that you can bring 5 liters per adult, HOWEVER, 4 of those 5 liters must be purchased inside the US possession, and 1 of those must come from a US possession. In other words, each adult gets 1 liter from St. Maarten or the ship, and the rest has to come from St Thomas or St. John, with at least one being an American product. (Recommendation: pick up a bottle of Cruzan rum: it's made in St. Croix.)
