Hi Everyone!

We are looking to buy DVC within the next few months, at AKV. We are drawn to the value studios there and we would like to be able to get two value studios for a week so we can bring our parents. We plan on booking 11 months out so hopefully we would have no problem. A family member who owns DVC is telling me you cannot book two rooms at once, which is contrary to what I have read. I knew you guys would know best so I am asking here...but you can book two rooms at once, right? Am I crazy to think it won't be a problem booking two values at once 11 months out?

You can book as many as you need if you have the points. I do three all the time so the kids and grandkids are in a different room (and hopefully a different floor) so we get some quiet at night.

I put the other rooms in my kids names. That way they check in when they get there and I do not need to wait for them. They can have their own DDP attached to their room as well.

I have booked 2 value rooms at AKV for a one night stay before our cruise. That was in June 2011.

We have booked two rooms several times. Like others said, as long as you have the points you can book what you want. Also, you can get the DVC cash discount for multiple rooms if you choose to pay cash for your stay.

When booking multiple rooms on hard-to-get reservations during peak times, I recommend calling immediately on first day 11 months out and 2 people calling at the same time booking 1 room each. They can only book one room at a time, and it has happened that there is availability at the start, and none after the first room is booked.

You can book 2 rooms but they are 2 separate transactions. It used to be that you could not have the same lead persons name on 2 reservations for the same dates, I don't know if that has changed.

And two studios will never connect to each other.

We own at AKV and booked 3 rooms-a 2 bdr valu and 2 value studios-for Thanksgiving week. I did call right when the 11 month window opened and we are arriving this Friday, so before the big rush of people.

Yes, we have booked multiple rooms at the same time several times. Gosh how many times can you say times in a sentence. We just list the names of people in each room, #of adults/children, and ms asks if they will need the dining plan, etc.

When we did this for a 2 bedroom and a studio at BCV for Christmas, the MS agent grabbed the 2 bedroom first and just put my name in the reservation. Then she grabbed the studio and just put DHs name. Once she had both rooms secured we got all the rest of the names, DDP, and ME added. Ask to do it this way so you get both rooms booked immediately and don't miss availability on the second room during time spent spelling names, having a chatty agent, etc.
