Can you be dropped off at the front gate?

When driving to the parks, can you drop off the rest of the group at the front gate? I would like to get them as close to the gate as possible without having them ride the bus or trams.

I have never tried. I do know that it is impossible to do it at the MK, you have to take a bus, monorail, or boat. It is technically possible at the other resorts but I am not sure Disney will let you.

If you will be parking the car anyway...I doubt it, what a hassle to drive to a drop off area then circle back around and re-enter the incoming traffic lanes to park, especially on a busy day.

If anyone in your party has a handicap placard, there are fairly convenient parking spots available... the exception would be MK, you still have walk under a bridge and use a boat or monorail from the TTC.

And EPCOT traffic patterns would make it nearly impossible, since the drop-off and handicap parking areas do not exit anywhere near the incoming traffic. It would be a little easier at AK and MGM but still quite time consuming.

Unless someone in your party is mobility impaired (in which case they should have a placard), it would be a big hassle.

What I'm shooting for is to drop off my wife and oldest two kids at the gate and take the twins back to the hotel room, later I would pick them up at the same spot or switch places with my wife. This way they can enjoy the park for longer without the travel back & forth to the room.

This may not help but last time the family was there I was dropped off at MGM with no problems by my mom.She just told the gate she was letting me out and there was no problem

The MK drop off area is located between the TTC and the Poly. It is where the taxis wait. Your party will have to take the ferry or the monorail over. Cars are not allowed in the MK bus station. The entrance to the bus station is gated to prevent them.

There are drop-off areas at each park, follow the signs when you drive in. The MK drop-off is near the kennels.

Obviously, I misunderstood your original question. I thought you wanted to drop of most of your party near the park entrances, then park the car and join them.

As everyone esle has said, there are drop off areas near the parks to simply drop off and pick-up people.

Is the drop-off for MK at the TTC? If not, 1) how close to the MK front gate do you get, 2) what are the directions to the drop-off area?

You could also drop them off at one of the resorts where they could pick up the monorail. Might be more fun!

The drop off for MK is at the TTC. You have to take the road like you are going to the MK resorts and head towards the Polynesian. You'll see the drop off at the TTC.
