Can you ask for prayers for a Cat?

OJO IS HOME! OJO IS HOME! :wizard:

Yep, we picked him up last night. He looks, ...umm like a cat that was almost mauled to death. He's got his "touch me..and I'll kick your A$$" catitude back.
He's got to go back to the vet tomorrow morning for another check of the wounds.
He's still on plenty of medications (that's fun )..and he's still got his pain patch that comes off day after Christmas. :santa:

CAN YOU BELIEVE..he's already gone to the door to go outside?...WTH is the matter with this cat? Like that's gonna happen. :sad2: I tried to pick him up to show him..that we have 2 FEET OF SNOW..but let's just say he wasn't in the mood, and I thought better of picking him up. :rolleyes1 Especially when he tried to eat my hand!

Oh good times...nice to see something in this house is back to normal. Even if it is an one eyed ornery monster we call a pet !pirate:

Oh..and the vet bill :faint:..
We've got a very good son...he called the vet's office before we picked Ojo up...and he PAID it! Can you imagine that? We were shocked..and Bob wanted to give him the money..but Bobby would hear none of it. He told us that we do a lot for him and we've taken care of him his whole life, and he wants to do something for us. To let it be.
Soo..here I was cryin' again. At least they were happy tears for a change.
I've got a great son and a pieced together one eyed beast. :santa:

:hug:Thank you ALL so much for your support, prayers, and good wishes for Ojo.
I will try and post a picture of my crabby feline later.

Yay Ojo!! :cool1:
I'd bet it's that very catitude that pulled him through this.

He gets 100 points for courage and toughness, and ZERO points in the "learning your lesson" department :sad2:

What a wonderful son - you should be very, very proud. :goodvibes

So glad for Ojo and your family. I don't think that cat has any idea how lucky is to have you all. Merry Christmas Ojo - STAY IN THE HOUSE! :santa:

Cats and pills...

I have a pill popper thing that is supposed to help stick the pill in the back of the cat's mouth; but, I haven't after all these years become an expert. ... and with a cat whose been through what Ojo has... good luck!

I agree, when I told my sister what my son had done, she was teary eyed too. She said to me... "you should be proud..you raised that". I am.

Happy news!!!! I'm so glad Ojo is on the mend!! And that's one awesome kid you raised! You SHOULD ABSOLUTELY be proud!!!

I am so glad to hear that Ojo is home and on the mend. You wouldn't think he would even want to go back outside. Maybe he wants some revenge. lol

I hope he continues to improve. Take care.

Yes, Ojo was back to the vet yesterday for a wound check and some suture removal. Vet is calling him "the miracle cat of 2009". He said it's seldom that they see an animal brought into the office in that kind of condition and live to tell the tale (or is that tail?..) so to speak.
Ojo's pain patch came off yesterday too. I think he's feeling kind of achy today. He's actually been pretty affectionate ..which is not like him. Hey..maybe he's learned to appreciate those who take care of him? :confused3 wonder how long that will last. Guess he figures he likes us better than the vet! They want to see him back on New Years Eve for another check of the wounds, and to make sure everything is healing properly.

Thank you EVERYONE for all your good wishes and prayers for Ojo. :wizard: He's on the mend!

Ojo must be one tough cookie!! So tough in fact, that a couple of kitty krunching dogs couldn't get the best of him!

Let's hope Ojo develops a healthy attitude for the indoors!

And yes Phyllis - Bobby is exactly the child you and Bob raised - loving and kind - just like his parents! :littleangel:

Just getting caught up and glad to hear that Ojo is doing well, and very glad to hear that your son helped out to bring a little Christmas magic to the season. Gives me hope that someday the kids I am raising will grow up that way as well. I was just excited to come home to see the driveway cleared for me once this winter without having to ask or antagonize someone into doing it! Baby steps, but in the right direction!
