I just have a quick question that I'm pretty sure I know the answer to... Can you take yogurt past security? I have an early morning flight and instead of spending an arm and a leg I thought I would pack my lunch bag with some breakfast foods...

I guessing that unless its 3oz or less you cannot take it past security I just wanted to make sure..

I can always eat it before I walk go past since I'm getting dropped off long before my flight leaves

Thanks so much:wizard:

Yogurt would not make it past security unless it meets the requirements for liquids. A good rule of thumb (which I learned here) is if it can't hold its shape out of the container, it won't be allowed. So no yogurt, peanut butter, jam, ect.

If it were me, I'd eat the yogurt before security. But you can bring a bagel with any spread already on it, cheese, fruits, etc...

I agree about bringing your own breakfast, as it's much healthier! I've had to eat McDonald's before an early flight before, and it makes me gag! It's hard to find something healthy and quick in the terminals...

I have had yogurt confiscated, more than once. I always intended to eat it before and forgot.

What about the yogurt tubes? Would they be under the 3 oz? Maybe one or two of those? Freeze them so they stay good and cold.

I take danactive for my digestive problems. I put three small bottles in their own zip log quart bag, and put them in the tray visable to the inspectors. They held it up in the air and said, what is this? I said "it for medicinal purpuses for my stomach". The let it go thru.
