OK, so I read all 4 books in a matter of one week, yes, one week. I read "Twlight" and was literally transported into the world of Vampires. My 15 year old daughter has been in love with the books since they have all been born, whereas I am a "newborn" to this world.

That said.... have any of you readers, over 30, found yourselves just ENTHRALLED with this story? Maybe because I read them back to back, but I have had "Twilight" on the brain since last week Monday.

I bought the soundtrack yesterday, bought my daughter the calender, the hoodie sweatshirt with the "Cullen" family crest, the photo book.... enough stuff is all I can say.

I now look up the trailer online each day, just to see Edward and Bella interact, its just so interesting to me.

So help me out, am the only one who thinks about how cold Edward's touch would be? This Romeo and Juliet story has taken a hold of my brain, and refuses to let it go.

I am taking my daughter and all of her friends to the midnight showing here in WI, and I count down the days until we see it.

I need to know who is just as excited about the movie, the books, the phenomena that TWILIGHT has become.

P.S. I also had thought about going to the "Edward" meet n greet in Chicago next week- but they are expecting 10,000 people for 500 spots- too much chaos for me.

I guess I need to reply to myself... anyone out there?

I'm not quite as into it as you are and I'm 21... but I thoroughly enjoyed the books! :)

I read Twilight last week for the first time and just started New Moon. As a late 30 something, married 14 years I think it totally appeals to someone in my demographic. Those feelings of first love, of just intense romantic feelings, all those wonderful things that were so long ago, it is just neat to read and revisit them and remember how you felt when you were young and so in love. Granted I've never been in love with a vampire, but you know what I mean.;)

So yes I intend to see the film and yes I wish I had my own Edward Cullen.:woohoo:

My DD12 started reading them..and well lets say she now has to catch up with me. They books were very very good. DD can't wait to see the movie..and umm...neither can I ;).

OMG! Thanks Piecey, for sending me over here! :lmao:

I read all four books plus the online excerpt in three days. I am totally obsessed....can't get enough! :lovestruc :lovestruc

Nice to meet ya! :thumbsup2

(PS, I am the mom of 17 and 15 year old boys and an 8 year old girl. I know it's considered a "young adult" novel but I think I get more out of it. I guess it's our ability to read between the lines. LOL)

I'm really excited about the movie. However, I feel that if I wasn't a huge fan of the book, the movie trailers really wouldn't inspire me to see the movie. Anyone feel the same way?

I am 38 and was totally obsessed to the point I couldn't think about anything else for 2 weeks. I read all 4 books in 5 days and I read everything I could find online. I just couldn't get enough Edward! Now that I've slowly come back to reality, the movie is soon to be out and I'll be in my own vampire world once again.:goodvibes :lovestruc

I have to agree with you. The movie trailers don't really have a draw to me except for the fact I can't wait to see Edward "alive". :lovestruc So I don't think I would even give it a second look if I had not read the books.

I am SOOO glad to know that I may actually be normal... that it will all be ok once I see the move at least once. Ok, who am I kidding??? I will see it probably 10 times like I did with Titanic- stupid love stories!! LOL

:rotfl2: I feel for your sister! I'm 37, married for 16 years, and completely obsessed with all that is Edward and Twilight! :lovestruc

I couldn't think of anything else. My dreams were all about the characters. And sadly, I too have been coming back to reality.

That's why I'm excited about the movie! I need another trip to my vampire world.

Well, at least we can look forward to Midnight Sun. *fingers crossed*

My DD14 thought I was nuts because I was reading books that her and her friends had read. She just didn't get it.:3dglasses :lmao: I had a few friends ask to borrow my books and I was selfish and wouldn't share. I finally let my SIL borrow Twilight and I keep asking Dh if she's done with it yet because I want it back....NOW! She's had it for over a week.

I forgot to add that I have the audio books on my Ipod so I can get a Twilight fix anytime, anywhere.;) :lmao:

By the way, I love you sig. Would you mind sharing?:flower3:

Yep, yep, yep! Completely obsessed. I read all 4 books in 1 week, then reread them all again the next week, haha! I am anxiously awaiting the movie..not sure about some of the casting so I guess that remains to be seen.

I forgot the soundtrack was coming out yesterday! I have to go buy it tomorrow! How is the Robert Pattinson song? And what about Bella's Lullaby?

I've read them, and really only enjoyed the first one. I feel the writing is only so so. The second book is meh to me. The third book is okay, but the fourth book? Really? I mean, really?

I do really LOVE the first book, and I am very excited for the movie. My wife is fairly hardcore about them, and it has kind of turned me off to the "twi hards" and "twi moms"

Robs song is great, but get the words off the net to it, because he mumbles the song! Also, Bella's Lullaby is beautiful with a hint of "darkness" to it.

The soundtrack is sold out here in my area, thankfully I bought it yesterday morning right away.

I love #4, and also the song "Go all the way, into Twilight"- BUT- BE AWARE PARENTS that this song is CLEARLY about "going all the way" altho cleverly hidden until they talk in the song. I did talk to my 15 year about it so that we had an understanding about the song...

It is a great soundtrack, and has made me a fan of Paramore, Iron and Wine, and Linkin Park.

BUT where is the cool music from the movie trailers????? I would love that!!

The 4th book seemed to gain speed in the beginning, was getting really happy, and then it took this ODD detour, and than that lengthy "history" lesson on the family tree (wink) and then the end- JUST ODD!!!

Twilight will always be my fav of the 4! OH and book 2, never cried so hard at a book- NOT a fan of Jacob!
