can we take a curling iron on the boat someone told dd we cant how can she do her hair she also heard you can't take hair spray in a can on the plain any one know. thank you

You can take a curling iron. I've done it. I'd bring along an extension cord however because the outlets are not very convenient to where you want to use it.

As for hairspray. I think cans are not allowed on planes but not sure of that. Many good hairsprays come in pumps now so maybe she can find one of those that will work just as well for her.

Yes, I take both everytime I cruise. But DO remember that extension cord!

Curling irons and hairspray is not allowed on the Airplane itself. You have to pack it into your checked baggage. My husband also had his shaving cream taken away one time.

I fly almost monthly and always have my curling iron in my carry-on bag (don't usually have a checked bag for short trips). My hairspray is in a pump bottle so haven't had a problem with that either.
As for the cruise, the above posters are correct. I think the only type of "hot appliance" the cruise ships don't allow in the cabins is an iron. Have a great trip!
