Hi We go next week for the Holidays and can't wait, but we've heard that customs are very strict on what goods you can bring into the U.S.

We have a 7 month old baby boy and we plan on taking aptimil baby milk to use while we are over there. Would the customs people be OK with this ?

Thanks....................

I think you are ok taking dried baby milk in unopened but any that is already made up -you may have to throw away -at least thats what Virgin told friends of ours earlier this year .

OK Thanks. We plan on taking dried milk and some cartons of already made up aptimil that you can buy at any supermarket, do you think they would accept this ? Anyone done this before ?..................thanks......

Hi yes you can take powdered baby milk and also the carton format. What you can't take is anything with beef extract or dairy products and this does not class as dairy products for some reason. Florida are more into Carnation and Gerber baby products.

We took enough powdered milk for the flight then just bought the American baby milk from the supermarkets when there with no problem whatsoever for our three month old (at the time)

We had our cartons of pre-made milk taken away from us when we went a couple of years ago, they were not very happy that we had even considered that it would be OK, so our first trip was to WALMARt to get milk for DS, who wasn't to impressed with it!
