Can we pool hop?

What keeps anyone from pool hopping? I just bought last week so I have never seen the DVC pool areas. Are they gated? What keeps anyone, no matter DVC or paying cash, from pool hopping from any resort.

Mainly just the rules, though a few pools are gated.

sometimes even if the pool is not gated the lifeguards or CM (not sure which) will do a check - especially if the pool area is full - and see if everybody there belongs there. If you don't you will be asked to leave. If you don't then they call the security guards.

remember WDW is not a public park - where everyone is welcomed - WDW is a corporation that is privately owned.

Other guests if there isn't a lifeguard checking IDs. Or ethics.

No showers at WLV and not cool to try to use the gym showers. DVC frowns upon that. Same with BWV..we hop over to cool off from the studios but wouldn't think of going inside to use gym facilities...we dry off. And off we go...if you need to shower, hop back to your room.

I believe the pool(SAB) at BCV is gated and strictly enforced due to its popularity. When we last stayed at BLT if I remember right, we needed our room key to gain access to the pool area. It probably has changed to the MagicBands now...smjj

Bummer about no showers - will have to rethink the pool hopping idea, as going back to our room at Kidani would require more than just a "hop".
