Can we pay the difference??

Seeing how horrible the children's menu's are on the ddp.. Do you think it would be possible to pay oop for the difference between child and adult meal???

for example at Columbia Harbor House it's 4.99 for all Kids meals ~ Can we pay an additional 5.00 to get something like shrimp on adult meal.

We are going to places where she can get steak or buffet's for dinner , but i know DD is not going to love having a choice of chicken nuggets and mac n cheese at all the CS meals for lunch.

I wouldn't think you would be able to do that, but if you really think that your child would prefer to eat the adult meals, I would think that you MIGHT be able to just purchase an adult dining plan for that child?

You can certainly pay the extra to upgrade your child to the adult dining plan, but that would also mean you have to upgrade their park tickets to an adult ticket and that can add up to quite a bit.
I don't think you can " pay the difference" for a child to eat an adults meal. The system is not designed to *figure* that out.

Unfortunately you can't pay the difference. However, for another thread I quickly ran through the kids menus and pulled most of the park menus for kids. Surprisingly there isn't really that much mac n' cheese. (Magic Kingdom is probably the worst park, and they have at least one healthy option per CS restaurant)

I just ran through the kids meals again, and I just don't see where the kids choices are that horrible. Most CS locations offer a healthy option that kids may not go for, and the usual junky kids fare that you find across the country.

It's like when you go to McDonald's and order a Happy Meal, or Wendy's and order a Kids Meal, etc. Fast food locations across the country consistently offer you a cheeseburger option, a hamburger option, and a chicken nugget option. It's up to you whether you want to choose their healthy side offering or fries. IMO Disney understands that you're a captive audience and at least tries to offer a healthier (or at least different alternative) to burgers and nuggets at almost all of their CS locations.
