If we have dining reservations at the CR can we park in the BLT parking lot or are all resort parking lots free?

I might be wrong (in which case someone will be along to correct me!!;)) - but I believe that if you give the man at the gate your adr reservation number and name he will check you off on his list and give you 2 -3 hours free parking - this is regardless of whether you are a wdw/dvc guest or not.

As I say, that is as I understand it, so I may well be wrong!!:goodvibes

There is no free valet parking anywhere, but if you arrive at the CR with a dinner ADR, they should allow you to self park for an allotted time for dinner. As mentioned above, they will have your name on a list of those expected. This would have nothing to do with being a DVC member, however.

All Disney owned resort self-parking is free for anyone. The Swan & Dolphin charge.

We have always drove to different resorts for various reasons and just tell the guard we are visiting/checking out the property. It has never been a problem. We have also always had a parking pass showing we are wdw guest at another resort.

In addition to the free self parking when dining at a resort, if you have the Tables In Wonderland card, you get free valet parking when you are dining at that resort. You would need to tell the valet when you arrive that you are a TIW member. You need to show your dining receipt when you pick up the car.

Some resorts seem to be tighter about this than others. A large group of us, who only knew each other by "screen name" were meeting at Chef Mickey's for dinner. Unfortunately, some people had the reservation #, but not the "real" name of the person who'd made the ADR, so they were denied access to the lot (self-park). Over at the BC, we've just told the guard we've got reservations at Cape May, we've never had to give an ADR #. Same at AKL when we dine at Boma.

You are correct. If you have dining reservations regardless if you are DVC or not you will get a pass for a couple of hours parking in the CR lot. You just can't park there and go to MK.

Just curious - why would you want to park at BLT if your dining reservation is at CR? Why wouldn't you park at CR?

It's all one lot. Most of the CR self-parking is in front of BLT. The valet lot is closer to the CR entrance.

Parking at the theme parks is not a DVC perk. It's a perk of staying onsite at a WDW resort. Just incase you are staying off site.
