Can travel agents help book connecting VGTs?

I’m looking at a Wish 4-night on July 7 or 14 and would like connecting VGTs if possible but it’s not a deal breaker. (Family of 5 & 2 grandparents, 1 kid would bunk with the grandparents) The Disney website doesn’t have them available and Costco doesn’t seem to have the option to even search for connecting VGTs. Is this something a travel agent could help with or would they see the same thing as me when I look on the Disney website?

The VGT cabins are cheaper because you can’t pick which cabin you want to be in. Therefore you can’t choose connecting cabins. You will get what is available a week or two before the ship sails. You could even be on different decks. If you need connecting cabins, don’t pick a VGT rate.

Travel agent can’t make this happen.

If the VGTs are booked at the same time and the reservations are linked I think DCL does try their best to have them connecting or near each other but there are no guarantees. I have booked VGT rates twice through the years with two cabins on the same sailing and have had them connecting. You need to decide if the price difference for the VGT rate is worth not having guaranteed connecting cabins.

This is exactly what we did. We booked them
At the same time and had our travel agent link them together ( my initial thought on linking them was so we could do dining together)

I think this does happen. A few years back, we booked an Alaska cruise and later my Mom wanted to come along and I asked the TA to book the cheapest possible room for her as a solo traveler. Our reservations were linked and she ended up just a few doors down from us. It could have been luck or what not. It isn't something I would bank on.
