I have a free dining package set to start on March 2. We have been doing a bit of discussing and everything is still in the air, but could we possible now move it a few days earlier and end if a few days earlier?
Bascially, once I booked it and the promo is over, can I move my dates and still keep the free dining? (It would still fall into the dates the promo had)

You can you may just be on hold awhile. Beacuse the cm will have to call guest service for you.

The CM shouldn't have to call guest services to change dates or resorts, as long as you're not switching from or to a value resort. The value resorts had codes not compatible with deluxe or moderate and vice versa. You should be able to change dates and keep FD, depending on availability.

The CMs will definitely have to call Guest Services. In the regular computer system, the CMs won't find any availability for the new dates because the offer has expired. Guest Services will have to approve/enable the change. If the offer wasn't expired then the regular CRO CM would be able to make the change on his/her own.

I have been toying with the thought of upgradeing the room catagory on my FD package, same dates , same resort. Do you think it will be a problem and also something the CM will have to get approved by guest services?

Because the offer is expired, the CM at CRO will have to get approval from Guest Services but as long as there's still availability at the higher room category then Disney will gladly take your additional money. ;) Just have patience with the CM at CRO and if that CM can't make it happen then call back and hope that another CM knows more than the first one. If the CM doesn't put you on hold and just says no after checking the computer then you definitely want to hang up and try for a different CM.
