So...as you can see by my sig, we're only 10 days out now
and we're planning to do the Epcot drinking around the world thing on 23rd April. Now, we're staying off site so getting to the parks will require driving or relying on the hotel shuttle thingy (or getting a cab).
I work for a tour operator here so I can get a room at All Star Movies/Music for $86 total. My question is - would I be stupid and/or frivalous to consider booking a room there for that night?

You would drive into the hotel parking lot and tell them you are there for check in. They will ask for an ID that they check against a list (sometimes/most of the time/definitely not all of the time) and direct you to check in parking. You then park and check in. Your room may or may not be ready. You then put the parking pass on your windshield and head to the park. If your room is ready you can unpack. So I think you would have to get to the hotel at least an hour before ropedrop to make it.
