Can someone please tell me about Continental Airlines?

Hey guys! My family and I were going to drive from Dallas to Orlando for our Christmas vacation, but with the hurricanes and road closures (I think) we're now thinking of flying. We can get a really good airfare if we drive down to Houston and take Continental Airlines to MCO, but I've never flown them and would like your honest opinions of the airline.

I've flown CO several times and had no trouble with them whatsoever. They are efficient, usually on time, and NOT in bankruptcy. Fly them with no worries. And as sure as I say that, someone will post having had problems with them. However, I think they are fine.

i flewn them severel times on time good service over all there pretty good i would recomend them (i am a Delta person myself)

Continental is no better/no worse than any of the other major US carriers like AA, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, Airtran, United.

Some people will swear by any particular airline saying it is the best, but in reality all are about equal. It all depends on the crew flying, the weather in the area and the airport you go through and those employees that will make the impressions.

Continental is not in bankruptcy now. They were in that mode back in the early mid 90's but have been running a good operation since then. I wouldnt have any problems getting on one of thier flights and I work for AA.

I live in Houston, and we almost always use Continental flying out of George Bush International Airport. We have never had any problems with them, always on time, etc. Also, the best prices are usually always on their direct website.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up just booking AA from DFW for about $150 more total for 3 people. I figured it would be a wash since we won't be driving down to Houston now. I'm not exactly looking forward to the connection through Miami, but oh well, WE'LL BE IN DISNEY SOON!!!
