hi there! I have a client that wants to surprise her hubby with a cake etc. for their 40th anniversary. they will be traveling with their kids/grandkids and she thought it would be wonderful to "celebrate" one evening. I would love to arrange to have a little wedding cake or something on that idea waiting for them...can you please advise?

Thanks!

Are you looking to have something delivered to their room at the hotel or to a restaurant? There are different numbers to call depending on where you are interested in having the cake delivered (and some restaurants don't do cakes, just FYI)... If there is a specific location, hotel or dining I can get the info for you.

You can also look at the WDW Florist for delivery of something with a little more UMPH (they do all kinds of deliveries, not just flowers)... Here is there web page. http://www.disneyflorist.com/

I would love to set up a nice cake for them after they have dinner....thye will either be at Coral Reef, Teppanyaki or Alfredos. I will know that answer shortly! Do you know if any of those locations makes little cakes? If so, what are they like and how much will they be? There are 7 people in total...thought a "mini" wedding cake might be nice! Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it!

Kim

All the restaurants do something different, so I am not sure on the size and/or design of the cakes specifically to those locations, but here are the phone numbers you can call to contact them about special occasion cakes. They can give you the info and the price (if any...some don't charge)

Coral Reef: A small celebration cake can be provided to guests celebrating special occasions (birthdays etc.), upon request. Guests may call 407-560-6784, 48 hours in advance to order birthday orspecial occasion cake. For honeymoons and anniversaries, celebrants receive a glass of complimentary champagne.

Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki: A small, complimentary birthday or anniversary cake is available upon request (no advance notice required)

Alfredos: Guests may call 407-827-8428, 24 hours in advance to order a birthday or special occasion cake

I hope that helps get you started. I know it is not a lot of info on what they can/do offer, but it gets you headed in the right direction :)

Thanks! I pm'd you also! That is a start and I appreciate it! Can I ask where you found that info? I could not seem to find anything like that...it would come in handy!

Thanks!

You're welcome, I hope that you are able to find what you are looking for. I Pm'd you back with some more info. I am a CM, so I found the info through our web page. I don't know that it is avalaible anywhere through regular web sites.

We went last Oct for my mom's and my dd bday...

I found the small $15 (I forget the real price) cakes in the MK not to be worth it, the free ones were better!!

BUT, if you go to the Grand Floridian, their bakery is AMAZING - I would definately order the Castle Cake topper, but its expensive (I think $25 if you do a search here for Castle Cake a picture and more info will pop up!!) I just called WDW Dining, and they gave me the number for the Grand Floridian... they were wonderful talking on the phone setting up - - we had ours at 1900 Park Fare - awesome!!

Also for the WDWFlorist - I ordered flowers, I spent about $60 and wanted "something" tropical, I first looked at their choices online, then I called to place the order - here's a picture...

and it did stay fresh all week - mom and dad drove, so they took it back home, and mom was thrilled - can you tell??? :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I just set up the most incredible night! They will be going to the Coral Reef...they are making personalized menus to say Happy Anniversary, having a cake AND a diver present a banner that says Happy 40th Anniversary etc!!! All they had to pay for was the cake...$25!!! I am so excited and can not wait to hear how they enjoyed it! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:thumbsup2 I totally forgot about the divers at Coral Reef. That will be fun for them (as well as everyone else in the restaurant). I am glad that you were able to get it all set up. I am sure they are going to have a great time... pixiedust:

when making reservations at any of the restaurants you can tell them and preorder a small cake for a small fee w/ personalization and decorations! :thumbsup2

how do you get the divers with banner at the coral reef. I would love to suprise my husband on our anniversary while we are down there

:confused3 anyone??? do you just call the number for the cakes and set this up? we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary and this will be a great surprise!

Hi,

We'll be celebrating 20 years at the Concourse Steakhouse. Do you think we could get a cake from the GF?

This is also the number to call to set up the diver...you will either speak with Alisha, Ashley or Meredith! Tell them Kim said hi...!!

Kim,
This sounds great for my parents' 50th anniversary. Do you know if there is a fee for the divers to hold a sign and about how much it would be?
Thanks!

We3,
Call the 407-W-Disney line, listen for the option to make reservations, when a cm gets on the phone tell them that you are interested in getting a cake at one of the restaurants that you made reservations for. They should be able to help you out from there.

There is NO fee for the diver or the personlized menus they will have for them! Also, they will give them a complimentary "chocolate chamgane flute" filled with mousse!

Enjoy!

We are thinking of eating at Narcoosees for our 15th anniversary. (We ate there on our honeymoon). Can you order anything special here?

Thanks, Kim, this sounds great. :) Are there any other restaurants that are special for anniverseries that we should plan on visiting (with kids)?
