I've been playing Pirates level 3 Ship Battle for a couple of days now. I've heard people mention having to go see Blackbeard before playing level 3, which I have never done yet am able to play. What happens when you go see Blackbeard? Is it normal to be able to play without going to see him?

Also, I am completely baffled by the credit system. Sometimes when I win it gives me bonus credits without explanation. Why am I getting them? :confused3 I don't mean to complain because I love getting them, it's just confusing. The credits range from 20 to 500. This morning I lost a game and it gave me 20 bonus credits. Maybe vmk knows how poor I am?? :rotfl:

Anyway, thanks to anyone who can help me understand this game better.

You are supposed to have to go visit Blackbeard after you play 10 games at level two before you can play level 3.

However, I never had to see Blackheart with the new pirates. I know some have and some have not.

Keep in mind at some point during the day we all go see the Captain for credits and sometimes for quests. With the new pirates he doesn't give you anything so you may not of noticed, but you already did it. Just because you were not going for that reason doesn't mean it did not get you past to 3. As far as the bonus goes it pays based onm games played and games won, and each level and type of contest counts seprately.

I never got a message saying I had to see blackbeard with the new pirates but like someone else said, I go there each day for NPC anyway.

Don't feel bad about your confusion over the bonus and credits given during the pirate games. I never know what to expect anymore. I have won games and got under 100 credits. I even lost a game I thought I played rather badly last week and won 200 credits. I know it has something to do with how many points you get in the game, how much gold the opponent has that you sink, etc. but I have yet to figure it all out. I kind of like the element of surprise myself. :teeth:

Thanks everybody for clearing things up for me. I thought when you went to the captain for the purpose of the pirate game that he gave you something or said something different. So I have gone to see him and just didn't realize it.
I guess Pixiewytch is right, it doesn't really matter how or why I get the credits, I should just enjoy the surprise when it comes.
