Can someone please check???

Hi I was hoping someone could help me. My parents are purchasing a DVC at BCV through the timeshare store. They are just starting the process and we are planning on going this October 25-November 1, 2008. We currently have regular reservations but would love it if we could stay at a DVC resort instead of having to pay for our reservations and also purchase a DVC. I know these places book up but could someone see if there is any two bedrooms currently available. I'm sure BCV is full because of the F&W festival but we would be happy with a two bedroom anywhere at Disney. THANKS!

I just saw your post and will be happy to call and see if anything is available. I'll need to call in the morning, though, because MS is already closed for the day (5:30pm Eastern and it is already 6:00pm).

I'll let you know what I find out.

One question, though, do you know when your parent's are going to close on their purchase? Just because there is something available tomorrow, it might not be around very long.

I was just wondering if they could give you some sort of idea if there are several two bedrooms left, or none, and if so where they would be. You never know, but the odds are against you. They won't be able to even call to make a reservation until after mid September and they want a reservation for a little over a month later? Doesn't look good. Calling now is a waist of time.

I realize that all the resorts could be booked up by the time my parents close but they just wanted to know if anything was even available at this point.

I'm guessing here, but I would think that if anything is availabl, it would be OKW or SSR. That is during Epcot F&W, BCV and BWV are usually booked up pretty early for that event. I would say that since you have to wait until closing, and getting into the DVC system, your chances anywhere would be very, very, very slim.

If they can't get a two bedroom or a 1BR and a studio, or even two studios, they can use their points to stay at one of the other disney hotels right? I know it is not a very good use of their points but they just don't want to purchase DVC and then also have to pay to stay somewhere this year as well.

I hope you get somewhere. Just wanted to say we bought direct from Disney last August and by mid August I had managed to book the majority of our Oct 10th to 24th at SSR in a studio, although the night of the 18th was on a waitlist it came through within a couple of weeks.

Thanks, I hope we are able to get something too. I sure like to plan things so I don't like that we have to wait until probably mid september before we can book.

Remember to use points at a non DVC resort now has a $95 reservation fee.

Sorry it took me so long ... we were have Internet problems this morning and I was just able to get online.

I found out pretty much what has been posted, currently there are a couple 2Br at SSR, and then are dates available at OKW and VWL if they would want to do a split stay.

Also, the wonderful CM I was speaking with said that the waitlists looked promising ... not sure what that means!

And, yes, in answer to your other question, they can use their points to stay at a non-DVC resort if something is available in the inventory. You're right, not a great use of points, but better then paying OOP if you can't get a DVC room.
