When we were at the parks we didnt want to sit and chat with the people at the booth...all we wanted was some info and not someone to try to sell us something...
Thanks for your help!

It might help to read the DVC frequently asked questions at the top of the DVC forum page and then post back here with any specific questions you might have,

What about this are you asking to have explained? The booths are sales booths set up to introduce DVC and set up an appointment for folks interested in a Disney timeshare.

I think the OP means she wants someone to explain how DVC works and is saying that they did not have time to talk to a DVC rep to get this info while in WDW because they were too busy in the parks. I guess I have had too many years of listening to kids because I understood perfectly what she was saying! LOL!!
Bare bones basics: DVC is a vacation timeshare owned by Disney. You buy pts that can be used whenever and on whichever size unit that you have pts for and that is available. You can also use your pts at various other venues besides DVC resorts. Pts are currently available for SSR through Disney or all the other resorts through resales. Pts are either $84 or $89, not sure. Contracts expire 2042 for all resorts except SSR which is 2054.
As jarestel said, an excellent place for more detailed info is the Q&A DVC thread at the top of this page. There is also a Disney owned DVC website for even more info and pictures.
Good luck! ::MickeyMo

We did the DVC tour on NYE. Spent an hour and they gave each of us Instant Fast Passes which more than saved the hour we had spent. (Wish I could buy those instant fast passes)

The people at the Booth's will not be able to give you an overview of the system. That is not their job. Rules and laws on sales are pretty strict in this area. I'd suggest either getting info from this Board, doing the tour or getting the sales package if your state qualifies. Doing all three is likely the best option.
