Can someone explain CVSing - I dont get it!

Did any of you guys see the notice on "I heart CVS" site about infringement rules for coupons. I am afraid we are running out of X/XX. Oh no!

Oh Gosh, I hope not. Although I signed up for the offers, etc. at CVS.com and I got a $4 / $20 coupon via email the other day. I am very new at this, so I don't know if they do this often or not. :cool2:

OK, I finally did it. I went today at lunch and got a card.

I purchased the following:

$13.98 - 2 of the Allavert
$13.98 - 2 Almay)
+ $1.12 tax
- $4.00 coupon for Alavert (had 2 but was only allowed 1)
$25.08 OOP

I recieved $15.00 in ECB

How did I do for the 1st time?

That's an ok run but you should really try to do the freebies (after ECBs) to build them up.

I was going to get the toothbrushes but they were out. There was nothing else that I needed.

CVSing is not about what you need but about what you want::yes:: You "buy" the things that give lots of ECBs so you can "buy" other things you want. I donate the extra stuff to shelters, etc.

Actually I have found myself only purchasing those items my family either needs or will need but I tend to get those with ECB's. For example, we were almost out of toothbrushes so I ended up buying several (during different transactions) to fit that need for now and down the road. Same for me in regards to the Q-tips, bandages, some shampoo. I don't buy stuff that I would normally just give away or sell if I don't need it or ever find myself needing it (i.e. I'm not diabetic therefore I don't get the glucose monitor to get the ECB's).

I'm a CVS shareholder -with all these ECB freebies I better check the stock price!

I still can't believe all the free stuff I've gotten from CVS, or being able to buy a $35.00 bottle of cologne for SEVEN DOLLARS!!!!!

Come on guys don't let this thread die. Here is some motivation for you. This is pics of my stockpile CVS room:

All of this was free or a money maker. This does not include all the chololate in my freezer, or the things my kids take home with them. Also I sold about half of my stockpile last month at my yard sale.

Great pictures.....I have all ready filled a box with stuff for about $5 OOP (that was starting from scratch with ECB's) since I am new to this and only been doing it for 3 weeks. My DH thinks I am crazy, but it is so much fun!

Great pictures! Mine looks a lot like yours, but I did give that Nutra-Trim gum away finally - I don't have as much laundry detergent and a lot less TP now, I think we're down to 2 of those packs, that was the best deal.

Here are some videos for new people, hopefully there will be more soon: http://www.youtube.com/CFreeSing

This week: $1.50 Colgate coupons are available at colgatetotal.com and the price is $2.49 for some, so the profit is $1 after coupon and ECB on up to 5 tubes.

I am going to have to take photos of my CVS closet.
I blame Diann for me getting hooked on CVS:rotfl2:

tngramma-you've got an impressive stash there! I need to get myself moving on my own stock pile! :thumbsup2

Of course you realize this is not all of it. I did not show you the deodrants in our bathrooms or the Sunsilk shampoo and Sunsilk cream. This is just the bulk of it.

I noticed that a lot of the things have price stickers on them (green dots.) Had your CVS store marked them down like that, or were those prices that you added for the yard sale? And if the CVS store is marking things down, when do they do it, and where do I look? Thanks!

Okay small meltdown at my local CVS today. I had $21 ECB's, and tried to buy the $20 Charmin for $10 ECB and they refused. Saying I had to spend at least $30. They also said I cannot use ECB's for ECB deals. (WTH?) Even the manager was giving me a hard time. A lady behind me said this store is a stickler and to go up the road.

So just when I thought I understood it all, I am more confused! :confused3
