Can somebody explain Moleskin to me?

I've never heard of this before and was wondering where to buy it and how to apply it? I'd love to hear all the details about it.

We use moleskin to put on the backs of shoes that rub your heel and cause a blister. It works good to put on a toe that you may have a corn on. You can buy it in sheets where they sell foot products. You cut it to fit whatever purpose you need it for.

It requires scissors to cut it properly. I made a cushion to go AROUND a blister and it worked great.
