Can non-DVC owners check availability?

To check the availability of DVC inventory, yes.

Usually, member services asks for your membership number before even saying hello, so it would be difficult to get any info if you don't have one. That said, occasionally I've called and not been asked for my membership number right away. If you have a specific date in mind I'll call and check for you - no strings attached.

I don't mean to barge into this post but could you please call and check the availability of BWV or BCV Studios for Nov 26-Dec 1, 2005? I would appreciate it so much. I'm worrying myself to death over this and just want the perfect Disney vacation this year!

Stephanie

Thanks for the kind offer. Could you please check WLV for Oct 12th-15th for a studio or 1-BR.

Thanks again :love2:

Hi Guys!
Good news for both of you. WVL is available Oct 12-15th, studio is 47 points, 1 bedroom is 95 points. BCV and Boardwalk are available with a studio running 71 points for 11/26-12/1 (if you can shift your trip by one day so you check in on Sunday and check out on Friday you can save 11 points - every little bit helps with a Disney vacation!).
Enjoy.

Charlotte,

Thank you so much for checking for me! Now if I could only get someone to reserve that for me before it's rented out :rotfl:

Can someone give me the phone number to check on availability? We are not DVC members but are considering renting points for a stay at a villa.

Thank you!!!!!

You need to be a member in order to check out availability. The first thing they ask is for your member number and then they ask for personal information.

Okay thank you for the information. I called CRO and was told that what we want was available but is that different from renting points?

Thank you for any help. We are very new to DVC.

My understanding is that member services can inform you of availablitiy using DVC points for reservations. Disney also keeps an inventory of rooms at the DVC resorts that they rent out for cash through CRO. I don't know if CRO can advise you about availability for renting using points. If you have specific dates in mind, a DVC member with points to rent can check availability for you through member services. Good luck!

Unfortunately, CRO availability is completely different from DVC availability. The only way a non-member can check availability is by asking a DVC member to call Member Services. Member Services usually will not speak to anyone who cannot provide either a Member# w/ last 4 digits of SSN, or a reservation# and matching name on the reservation.

Actually, no. Only a member can check the availability of DVC villas.

When I rented points last year, member services would talk to me, but only to confirm that my reservation was in the system and my requests were down, etc. The member had to check the availability for me first and make the reservation. I couldn't have done any of that. You can find people to rent from on the rent/trade board and it'll be MUCH cheaper than going through CRO.

It really doesn't matter what someone can find out is available or not if you aren't booking at that same time....at least the same day. Things are constantly changing and what's there today is gone tomorrow...and vice versa.
