Can MS lock in a ressie, then borrow the needed extra points?

I recently purchased a 100 pt add on at VGC. I plan on calling first thing on June 7 to book a Dec '09 stay. I'll need 165 pts for the trip. Should I call the day before and have them borrow the extra 65 points from my 2010 UY so it's all set, or when I call on the 7th, can they lock in the ressie, then borrow the needed points? Rooms are going to go fast, and I don't want to miss locking in a ressie because MS had to borrow first, but since it will be within 7mo I'd like to use some of my SSR points for the stay if possible. Third, if I can't get a ressie then I'll plan to book a June stay which won't require as many points, another reason I'd prefer not to have to borrow before I know what's available...

My top priority is getting the Dec ressie, what should I do?

The system only borrows points when you do not have enough banked or current points. You only need one call and MS will confirm that you want to borrow the points needed to complete the reservation. You cannot just borrow points to borrow...

(Although if you cancel you reservation that used borrowed points, then those borrowed points will stay borrowed and need to be uused before the end of the current use year....)

They will borrow the points while making your reservation. Just did this today for our Spring Break week next March-April. No worries, it works out just fine.

Depends on how popular the resort is. We tried to book AKV Concierge at 11 months, 9 AM. MS confirmed availability but by the time they got done messing with our points, all Concierge rooms were booked.

That's what I am afraid of. There's going to be an even smaller # VGC rooms available this Dec and now owner advanced booking priority, so I was hoping MS could 'reserve' a reservation for me while they then go borrow the needed points to book...

I guess I'll need to pick a few back up dates and hope for the best!
