Can more than one person use an annual pass?

Hi everyone. My family is going to WDW in March without me! Therefore, I am going with another family member in July. Could my family purchase two annual passes that they would use in March, and I could then use in July? (i.e. no fingerprinting, ID requirement, FBI background checking...just kidding!)

NO!!

Annual Passes use the biometric finger scans for each person. If the finger scan "beeps", then picture ID is required.

Ah yes. Such a bummer. But wouldn't it be nice if you could use share them! Oh well!

Tickets are non-transferrable. If a finger scan does not match the ticket, ID will be asked for. If the ID/user does not match the ticket, the ticket will be confiscated.

And APs have your NAME on them so if the Finger Scan does not work.. they want an ID.

Hi!

Nope - everyone will need their own.
If you think about it - wouldn't that be kind of rediculous if you were able to share your AP tickets.

What do they do if the bio beeps and it's a kid without an ID?

I do wish they would let me buy a "guest" annual pass. I'm single and love to take someone with me and treat them to a day at Disney... but don't do it often because of having to buy a pass for them.

the last 3 times we've been to a WDW park they haven't used the biometric, you'd swipe your pass and walk right in. sea world and busch gardens have been doing the same. universal doesn't have the bio, because your picture is on your AP. I'm not suggesting anyone try to use someone else's pass, we've just hadn't had to do the finger thing lately. kind of weird.

I thought the biometric was not scanning for individuals (like a finger print) but for size.

It measures your 2 fingers, the middle and index finger, it's not a fingerprint.

I would highly not suggest taking a chance using someone else's ID even if they haven't been checking/scanning, etc. It states in the pass they will confiscate your pass if someone else will try to use it.

It scans bone parameters, not fingerprints, but every person's configuration is as unique as a fingerprint.

boy, what you learn on the DIS!

At really busy times, the CMs seem to be able to turn the biometric reader off, and still scan the pass into the system so it's valid for Fast Pass. On our Christmas trip, MK often had the readers turned off to get people into the parks as quickly as possible. I really noticed the difference at AK where the biometric readers were working!

I've had an AP for a few years now and they been scanning the AP users even before they started scanning the MYW tickets. I know that they do not scan children. My mother has severe arthritis in her hands and can not use the scanning, each time they have asked her for her photo ID.
