Can last day of Res. be cancelled?

I'm booking day by day for Sunday - Thursday night during Easter. If I can't get a good airfair on Delta there is new discount airline that flys on select days of the week. If I book a 5 night stay, can I, at a later date, drop the last night of the reservation without having to cancel the whole reservation and re-book. If I do have to cancel and re-book is there a risk that I wouldn't get my Easter BWV SV room?

You should be able to cancel just the last day of a reservation. I have.

That said, since you will have a SV reservation, be sure to ask/tell the MS CM before you actually cancel - just to make sure the CM understands what you want to do. Better safe than sorry, LOL.

Yes you can if my experience is correct; we have dropped days off the end of a trip before.

It's easy to drop the first or last day, possible but more difficult to drop a day in the middle. The only caveat's, which hopefully don't apply in this case, are that all dates stem from the first day of check in. So if you cancel at 30 days from check in but 31 or more from the day you cancel, it still goes in to the holding account and expires at the end of the use year. Also, if you cancel it on or after the day you check in, the points are lost. Thus there are times when you may want to make a separate reservation just for this situation.
