Can I use transferred April 06 points for Oct. 07?

I'm in the process of finding points to transfer to my account to use for Oct. 07. If I get someone's April 06 points, will I be able to use them to book for Oct. of 07?
I know I should know this, but I've always been in the borrowing mode so I've never worried about points that may need to be banked. Thanks for your help.

That should work for you because you can bank them once you receive them. The only question that will arise is what properties those points become when you receive them.

If they remain the UY and Home resort of the person you got them from (which is what is suposed to happen), then you should be able to bank those April 06 pts into an April 07 UY and then book using the 11/7 window as normal.

If they take on your properties, the same thing applies - UNLESS your UY is December. Then you wouldn't need to bank them to use them, they would be in the correct UY already.

OF course, you should probably confirm this with MS...of course, sometimes you get different answers every time you call - BUT is should work.
