Can I use My old Magic Bands for my party?

I have several older Magic Bands from previous solo trips. Now that we have to pay for them, I was planning on just using the MB I bought in 2020 for myself. My parents are coming with me in January, but they are on my account/reservation as guests numbers 2 and 3. I'm NOT making them their own MDE accounts, and basically treating them as "children" on my account as far as managing their tickets/Genie+ etc. (they are technology resistant and don't want to deal with "confusing apps"). Would they be able to use a couple of my old MBs for their room key/tickets (I'm not concerned about the long range capabilities) since they are all tied to my account? It would mean we would all be using old MBs that I personally have used before, and I don't know if that is possible/would cause a problem. Or do they need their own new MBs for each of them? I guess I'm asking if they just need to be attached to my account/reservation or do they need to be attached to a specific individual (therefore ones I have used in the past can't be used by them)? I know they can get a card instead, but the MBs would be more convenient for them. Thanks for any insight.

If the only thing they would use your MagicBands for would be as room keys and for charging to the room account, then there is no reason why you couldn't let them use your bands. But they won't be able to use them as tickets to get into the park. They would need to get their own card for that.

It is okay to put your parents on your MDE account "as if they were your children". You can even give them names, which would make it easier to manage. :)

When we forgot our Magic bands one day they scanned the tickets on MDE and gave us cards to use to scan. They could probably just get those at the gate of any park and use that as their tickets but the room key part wouldn't work.

Thanks for the clarification, everyone. I know the MBs will be less of a hassle for them with G+.
I just saw shop Disney has a few colors of the plain bands in stock today, so I jumped on two of those before they become (more) impossible to find.
Follow up question: when they arrive and I link them to MDE, will I have the option to link each specific color to each of my two "children"?

When I took my elderly parents in February I had them added to my account like this too. It was so much easier especially since it is doubtful they can go back. My mom is great with a computer but not a cell phone. No way they could have dealt with that in the parks. I was able to preorder bands for them back then because they had plenty of options. Now they are abysmal. I did notice the solids on shop Disney today too.

Yes, I ordered them some solids while I had the chance. It was worth it to pay the shopDisney price to make sure we have them. Especially since I gave them the choice of colors and they picked black and grey! They definitely wouldn't be happy about wearing character/colorful MBs. But I know they also wouldn't be happy about pulling out cards/phones for every park entrance and G+ (and I plan to use a lot of G+).
