Can I use a Disney eGift Card in the cruise shops?

I have a Disney eGift card and I am wondering if I am allowed to use it in the shops onboard the cruise?

You can add it to your on board account. All charges are made to your stateroom account using your key to the world card (room card). The egift card will be deducted from the balance owed on your account.

You may be able to use a Disney gift card directly at the onboard shops, depending on whether the internet connection in the shop is working properly.

As Adventurelawyer described, you can definitely bring the card to Guest Services and have the value applied to your onboard account.
