Some of you know I just bought my wife an S3. I gave it to her on Saturday as a combination Mother's Day / Anniversary present. I think she REALLY likes it. But about a minute after I gave it to her, she looked kinda sad / mad... Why???

Because, she told me, that she was planning on getting ME a camera for our anniversary.... :lmao: , so I told her not to get me ANYTHING... we can just "share".... :thumbsup2

Great minds think alike! ;) Well, Canon just announced the S5. You should each have your own camera.

I'm sure you both have every intention of sharing nicely. But trust me, I speak from experience... it will only last a couple of weeks before you're tired of sharing! I've actually almost ripped the camera out of DH's hands because I'm afraid I've just missed a great shot. I find myself standing there, tapping my foot, checking my watch every 30 seconds with the thought "isn't his turn finished YET?" I know I should be embarrassed about admitting this, but I've even been known to cough loudly or bang something "accidently" while he was trying to compose a wildlife shot. :rolleyes1 "Ooops, he flew away, that's too bad, so sorry, isn't it my turn now?!"

Any way you can backtrack on your comment and tell her to go ahead and buy a second camera?!

:rotfl: this would so be me...i'm not good at sharing my camera...so far i have only allowed hubby to use it for a few shots in the backyard, poor guy...well soon enough it'll be his and he can use it all he wants( although it will still bother me tremendously if he gets paint or something on it due to my perverse vision of eminent camera domain( me in the government role btw):rolleyes1

Sometimes I think it would be nice if my DW would get into photography so that we can share this hobby together. But then when I think about sharing my equipment, I feel just fine letting her do the scrapbooking and me doing the picture taking.

This was one of the downfalls of my marriage, I have come to find out, my wife felt I was spending too much time taking pictures and not enough time just sitting around with the group.... So I would have been a lot better off if she had been interested in photography as it would have been something we shared rather than something that ultimately contributed to a split.

:rotfl2: That's funny!! I can definitely see my wife and I going through that. Although I'm the photog geek, she will take pictures if I'm not around.

Just wait a a week and Canon will discontinue that S3 :rolleyes1 and you can get a new one!!! :thumbsup2

I wish dh would share my Rebel. He has a better eye than me, but doesn't take any pictures anymore. IF you look at our vacation photos, it looks like I didn't make the trip.:sad2:
