Can I still get a dining plan?

We are debating about staying off Disney property(our friends have a time share for less then $400. for a week) or staying at POP. My question is if we stay off property can we still get a meal plan or make advanced reservations at some of the popular restuarants on site?
Thanks for the help this will be our first Disney trip.

You could not purchase the Dining Plan while staying off site.

You can, however, make all of your ADR's at 180 days out.

Except for now, where you cannot make reservations beyond January 25th with the exception of CRT, CM and V&A.

Thanks for the clarification. You are right except that the date is February 22 for your ADR's right now.

I didn't think to specify - I am so used to people making plans over a year out

If anyone has a question on the ADR upgrades - there is a sticky at the top of the Restaurant Board that has updates.
