Can I rent out "banked" points?

I banked Dec '08 points over this summer & due to financial reason we probably won't be able to use them plus our Dec'09 points, so I am thinking about renting or transferring them. Can I do that with "banked" points or just the current year points? Thanks for any info. Debbie

As far as I understand you can. However you can not transfer them. Good luck!

You can't transfer banked points but you can rent a reservation made with them. You could transfer the 2009 points.
