Can I modify hotel dates online without cancelling first?

Hello, I haven’t booked a Disney World resort in a while. I have a reservation I booked online which is for next year. We may need to add or delete a day or two at the beginning or end of our vacation. I seem to remember last time I did this I actually had to delete my entire reservation and start over hoping with fingers crossed that the room I wanted was available. Does that make sense? Or am i misremembering?

If you have the option to modify your reservation, you can try to do it yourself. If the modify option isn’t there, you will need to call.

It can be annoying if the room isn’t available for the new dates you’re trying to modify to it won’t always let you. Try first and if it doesn’t work call and they will typically help you out

I've had it work online and I've had to call because, even though the availability is there, the system won't let me bop over to it.

In either case, though, it's not a full cancel and rebook. If you do have to do it with a phone agent, they should be able to move you while keeping the same reservation number and deposit on file.
