Hi all!

i'm looking for the fine print ... but we have a 4 day park hopper plus extra water park (called magic and more or something like that).

can we do typhoon lagoon during the day then hop to Epcot for dinner without using up another day on our passes?

thanks.

Yes, the water park entrances are completely separate from theme park entrances. It's not considered "park hopping."

However, please be aware that you cannot use extra "days" on your passes to hop between two theme parks. It doesn't work that way. That's for folks reading this who do not have park hoppers- you can go to as many parks as you want and still use up only one "day" on your ticket.

It will count as using both a water park and a theme park day. Technically you have 8 days worth of fun on that pass. 4 park days and 4 water park days. You'll use one of each.

Theme parks admissions and Water Park admissions are completely separate parts of your ticket.

You can do a water park, then go to Epcot for dinner, BUT you would be using up one of your water park options AND one of your theme park days.

So it doesn't seem like a very good use of your theme park day if you're only going to spend a couple hours in Epcot.

Think of it this way, the ticket includes a number of theme park "days" and a number of water park "admissions".

You have 4 theme park "days". That means you can go into a major theme park(MK, Epcot, DHS, AK) on 4 different days. Without a hopper, you would have to stick to one park on each of those days. With the hopper option, you can go to more than one theme park on the same day.

If you go to MK in the morning and Epcot in the evening, you've used one of your 4 park days.

The water park "admissions" are completely separate from the theme park days. You have 4 water park "admissions" that you can use whenever and wherever you want. You could do Blizzard Beach in the morning and Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon and Disney Quest in the evening. That would use 3 of your 4 admissions.

thanks so much everyone!

i dont want to use up an extra theme park day just for dinner, so for our water park day we'll just eat at the resort. thanks again!

Not quiiiiiiite correct. There's a subtle difference - I don't want the OP or anyone reading to think that there are 8 days in parks no matter what.

You have 4 days worth of admission to one single main theme park per day, no hopping.

You also have 4 entrances into the "extras" like a water park, DQ, or minigolf.

So technically, if you spent one calendar day going into Typhoon Lagoon then Blizzard Beach then Disney Quest then a minigolf course, you've just blown through all of your "And More" admissions in a single day.

At any point (and using either main park entries or And More entries) you can re-enter the same park on the same day at will, without using up another entry entitlement. For example: going in & out of Epcot 4 times in one day still only costs one entry.

ETA: You have 14 days to use all of your entitlements unless you purchase the no-expiration option. So theoretically you could spend 8 days in parks over a 2 week period with this ticket, as long as you only use one of your And More entitlements each day and you don't use any of them on the same days that you go to a main park. You do not have to use it all up in only 8 days - there's a little leeway in case you want rest days.

They are right with regards to how the tickets work.

However, note the the price difference between a 4 day park hopper w/ WPFM and a 5 day park hopper w/ WPFM is $12. What else are you going to do that night that costs less than $12 and beats a couple hours in EPCOT.

Even though you don't get a "full day" use of the admission day it can still be a very good value when you look at the cost to add just that one extra day.

That's a good point, but of course it's $12 per person, plus tax.

thanks all...since i'm the OP, i want to clarify what type of tickets we have...

since my wife will be attending a meeting there, we have disney convention tickets (bought through the official disney convention site. we chose the 4 day full day park hopper. (they also have 'after 2pm' and 'after 4 pm' options.) it comes with a "bonus" day entry to any water park or disney quest or round of golf.

im assuming now after reading your responses that if we go to typhoon lagoon during the day then epcot for dinner, we will eat up both one theme park day and our one day water park entry.

True, which for most of us is about the same as going to a 90 minute movie.

From the OP's description of his tickets it doesn't look like this is an option for him anyway.

To the OP, you are correct and appear to now understand.

Also with the convention tickets you are unable to add a day. That decision has to made before purchase of the original ticket. I found out the hard way last year when I wanted to add a day.

That is correct.

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

(Note, if you have a ticket of fewer than ten days, insert the number of days you have any time you see the number "ten" in this post.)

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries
remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS, FG, WSL). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must
have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.

It will count as using both a water park and a theme park day. Technically you have 8 days worth of fun on that pass. 4 park days and 4 water park days. You'll use one of each.

Technically that's not correct,if you have a 4 day MYW park hopper you can visit the 4 major theme parks and park hop between them for four days. The waterpark fun and more option adds "entries or visits",not days.So for example with a 4 day MYW park hopper you get 4 entries into the two waterparks,Disneyquest, the two mini golf courses before 4pm,ESPN wide world of sports and the Oak Trail golf course. You can use all your entries in one day if you wish or you can space them out.For example.

Day 1:
Epcot AM
MK PM
Day2:
AK AM
DHS PM
Day3:
Blizzard Beach
DisneyQuest
Day4:
Fantasia Gardens mini golf in the AM
Resort hop rest of the day
Day5:
Typhoon Lagoon
Day6:
MK AM
Epcot PM
Day7:
DHS AM
MK PM

So in this example you used your 4 days of theme park hopping in days 1,2,6,7 and you used your 4 water parks and more entries in days 3,4,5,but you could have used them all in the same day if wanted to.

I have a slightly different question about "hopping" from TL ( or BB ) to Magic Kingdom. Is there direct Bus Transportation from TL ( or BB ) to the MK?

or

Do I have to take one of the buses to one of the resorts and then take another bus ( or boat ) to the MK?

There are no buses between TL and either TTC or any other Park. We do provide recommended routes to get to other parks from TL.

Take a bus to the Contemporary and walk over to MK,5 minute walk.
