I have a reservation with National and have joined the Emerad Club. When I look at my email confirmation though, it says "proceed to counter". Is this for EC members too or do they put that there for everyone? I did not enter my EC number when I made the ressie. Do I need to and where do I put it? I don't remember seeing a place for it. Thanks!!

In order to use the EA you have to reserve via the EC page.
On the home page for National you will see a sign in area for EC members. That is what you use.
And, unless you have reserved through that area you cannot use EA. And, for EA it has to be a reservation for an intermediate only. Everything else is Emerald Choice. If you use a free day coupon, you have to go to the counter also.
They have a great FAQ section there, which should answer many of your questions.

Thanks for the help Gail! I never even noticed the EC area since we just joined. I have rebooked an intermediate through EC and my confirmation now says pick up at EA. I have a coupon but it's only for $20, not a free day, so it looks like I won't have to go to the counter at all. Now we just have to hope for something good on the EA. Thanks again!

If you have an EA reservation, you don't need to go to the counter with a dollar off coupon. Just proceed to the exit and hand the coupon in at the booth. I've done it many times (and will on Saturday, cross your fingers for me for a good selection!). I believe non-EA reservations have to use the counter with a coupon.

Glad i could help, I hope you cancelled the original reservation, they can charge you for that if you don't show up. Just trying to help you cover all bases.
We have always managed to get a really nice car on the EA, always full size, once we had a Bonneville (aka land ark), not sure what class that is.

Deb, the only coupon you have to go to the counter for is an upgrade. The poster knows this, cause, we now have both told him. :)
