Can I do this? Ebates - Disney gift cards?

If I shop through ebates I get 4% back on my disneyshopping.com purchases. On the disney shopping site you can buy Disney gift cards for up to $500. I know that I can pay my DLH package through AAA with these gift cards AND use them in the hotel/parks.

Does anyone know of a good reason this wouldn't work (the 4% back?). I know some sites will let you get x% back on everything excluding gift cards/certificates, but I see no fine print stating this. I'd be looking at like $2500 or more in gift cards, so that 4% back would be nice. Is there a limit with ebates on your $$ back or a cap for a vendor? Is there something I'm not thinking about here? Paying for our entire trip plus vacation meals & treats with a kickback would rock.

Please tell me I found a tiny way to save on our trip with no loopholes...

I *think* that eBates does not rebate for gift card purchases but I cannot say for sure. Since you didn't get an answer on the BB, I'm going to move this over to the Rewards Board to see if anyone over there can offer a definitive answer.

I found this under the FAQ: Disneyshopping: DisneyWorld park passes are not eligible for Cash Back.

I would email them and ask. (and let us know what you find out ) I think they will say no.

At one time you could get the rebate for buying Disney gc's but not anymore. I shop through sunshinerewards and quickrewards and in 2007 I bought over $2000 in disney cards and got 10% back! I guess a lot of people did this because Disney stopped it. There are some companies which give you rebates for buying gift cards but Disney isn't one of them right now.
