Can I do better??!

I'm trying to get a price quote for a friend of mine for her family. Its the mom, dad, 13 year old, 14 year old, 8 year old, 6 year old, and 4 year old. They want to go to Disney around December 9-15.
I've decided that I would get them a room at SSR on my points.

$1283 basic myw tickets that expire- these prices are from ticketmania btw
$ 1400 food. Maybe thats too much or too little? They would be eating breakfast in room
$200 gas/misc = $2,883 not including souvenirs.

I calculate the cost for four adult and three child seven day non-hoppers, including tax, at $1,359 at Disney's ticket windows.

$200 per day for food may be a little on the high side, especially if breakfast is in the room. One way of saving is make lunch the main meal of the day and use counter service for dinner.

The way gas prices are going right now the $200 may not be sufficient.

Anyway, it is a very good time of year to go; all the decorations are up and it is not crowded.
