Can I cancel a few days on ressie?

Question: I have a really good rate at the Poly (with the discount)...for six nights...

However, I really only want it for the last two nights of the stay, as we are staying somewhere else those nights (non-Disney property).

I was only able to get the good rates at Poly if I booked all six. What will happen if I call to cancel the first four. Will the last two night prices go higher (they were high when I tried to book online for only the two nights I wanted...then I went back and did three nights, not good...four nights not goood rates...five nights not good rates....six nights BINGO magic discounted rates....

If you are booked under a discount that requires a certain number of days, then yes you would lose your discount.

I don't think the room discount has a set number of days in order to receive it. I think the Disney reservation system is so weird. It's like the block days so discounts only show up for a 6+ day block. Pretty sure it's a marketing gimmick on their part. It's easier for Disney to fill 6-7 night block than 1 night here or there I imagine.

Anyways back to the question it should work. It's worked for others so not sure why you can't get a room discount on 1 night

If your "discounted rate" is based on the fact that it is taking an average of weekday and weekend rates for the 6 days, and you cancel the weekday stays and leave the weekend days, i.e. Friday and Saturday nights, then yes, your cost per day will increase. What days are the last 2 nights?

Disney did have a 6 night special a little while back, so that may be what the OP made the ressie under. I would just call and see what they say, there has been a couple of times that I thought it could not be done and the CM did it.
