I will be flying on Jetblue with my kids and am wondering if I am allowed to bring snacks on board? I will have them in my backpack, thinking packaged snacks. Is this okay??

You can bring anything you want. You will still need to abide by the liquids rules though. We often fly midday and pack sandwiches and fruit.

You probably should be cautious of packing any snack items that contain nuts....I have been on many flights where the FA's advised the passengers that there was someone aboard with a nut allergy and not to take out any food with nut or nut products.

anything that isn't a liquid or gel, like pudding, yogurt etc. Put your condiments on ahead of time or put them in your little baggie for TSA, same with cream cheese on your bagel.

I don't want to get into the nut debate again but if you want to take peanut butter do so, they rarely make the announcement and it doesn't truly pertain to peanut butter and even when they do it is usually just in the immediate row of the person.
I have never had it announced on any flight and we take peanut butter all the time.

we often pack a couple of uncrustable type sandwiches as well depending upon flight time for the kids. tack on the free beverage and snack and they are usually good to go.
