Can I bring my morning coffee on the bus??

Sorry, wasn't sure where to post this and couldn't find it using a search.

Are the buses "NO food and drink" zones or would I be able to bring my coffee (in a disposable cup with a lid) on the bus?
I like to dawdle (?) over my morning coffee and don't want to just chug it and run out the door for rope drop. And I'll definitely get a caffeine low if I don't have it (yes, I'm an addict).

I always have my refillable mug full of coffee when I get on the bus to a park.
Never was told I couldn't

Many bus drivers are lenient about allowing cups with fitted lids aboard the bus.

Some are not.

You will likely be OK if your cup has a sealed lid.

Just be prepared for it to not be allowed on some buses, just in case.

Disney does have a no food or drink on the bus rule. However, most bus drivers will not give you a problem if you bring a drink with a lid onto the bus. You may run into one who will make you finish it or dump it out before boarding, but many will not care.

I've seen lots of people bring their morning coffee on the busses, usually in the refillable mug. Make sure you have it in something with a secure top as you may end up having to stand if all the seats are full and it wouldn't be too much fun to have hot coffee all over you.

There is a no food/drink policy on the buses, but they do not give you a problem if you bring something in a closed container. we have brought food from parks to resort or drinks in our resort cup with lid and have never had a problem. But they would not want you to sit on the bus eating and drinking

Thanks everyone. Just what I needed to know. And I will proceed with caution carrying the cup (Not too worried about me, but I'd be horrified if I spilled coffee on someone's child.) Thanks again!

If there is going to be a lid there shouldn't be a problem because in the past I have brought bottles of Chocolate Milk on the buses with a lid and never had problems taking them on the buses.

I have only seen people be told they can't OPEN the lids of their mugs on the bus. So I guess for the most part, if you are just HOLDING a cup with sealed lid (not an open hole on the lid for hot coffee to keep bouncing out, or for coffee to spill out of if you drop your cup), the drivers don't say anything.

BTW, I have always brought my morning coffee on the bus but with the lid's hole twisted shut and I never, never open it to sip or anything until we are OFF the bus.

I never hassle about a refillable mug or a covered hot cup. Although spills are possible, they're unlikely.

I usually do ask guests to finish or toss slush drinks, ice cream, etc. before boarding. And if I notice a pastry, bagel, etc. I'll ask them to hold it until they reach park.

When I'm feeling grumpy, I might remind folks to keep their bottled drinks capped, but sometimes it's just not worth the negative vibes.

We were not allowed to bring drinks (in refillable mugs) on the DME busses either. Never had a problem on park busses.

If your drink has a lid on it, I'll let you bring it on. If it's uncovered, I'll ask you to finish it outside. I will ask that you don't eat on the bus.

If you bring coffee on in the morning, bring me a cup too!

As others have noted, I've never been told no when I had a bottle of water, or a cup of coffee that was covered, in my hand when I got on the bus. If I'm sitting, I keep drinking. If I'm standing, I keep the lid closed until I get off the bus.
