Can I book now & still get free dining?

We defintiely want to go to WDW in Sept and want the dining plan...even if they don't offer free dining.

Can I go ahead and book now and still add the free dining later (if/when it is announced) or do I have to wait until free dining is officially offered to get it and book at the same time??

Go ahead and book now. We are going at end of August when free dining has started in the past. I booked it a month ago and if there is free dining during our stay, I just call back WDW and make the necessary change.

Did that last year thur AAA. Booked got the room discount then when free dining was offered had to rebook lost the room discount but the free dining savings was much more then the AAA room discount. We are booked for the bounce back and hope they open the free DDP to everyone else. Keep your eyes open on the Dis site for April 7 or 9 was offered last year about that time,

Did it last year, and just booked for CSR Sept.13-20. Just calling back if and when (please,please,please ) code is released.

There is only one problem....

If enough people book rooms in Sept. (while waiting to see if the promotion is going to come out?) Disney won't offer FREE DINING

They only offer FREE DINING if they THINK they have too many empty rooms going into Sept.

I bet there are a few thousand people saying "if they offer free dining, I'm going"
If they all pre-book rooms.... Disney might get up to 85% capacity, and then not offer FREE DINING which is only used to get a certain percentage of rooms pre-booked that aren't being booked early enough.

Puts everyone in a CATCH 22

I am so new at this, but is what you are referring to as "Free Dining" the same as the Disney Dining Plan that I see on their reservation page for vacation plans? I'm confused. I thought that all the vacation plans have the option for Disney Dining Plan.
