Can code be applied later to AAA?

I'm considering joining AAA ($43) just to get the Disney discount. If I join and buy a package with their rate, then find a better discount code, can I change to the code? I understand you can't stack discounts. I used a code for the trip I just came back from and got my POP room at a very good discount. I'm already dreaming of my Dec '06 trip! I might can even splurge for a deluxe if the price is right! I'm also considering an AP to get the BRP, even though I'm a little confused about it. Does it mean you are guaranteed the best rate that is being offered to the public at the time?
