We are GCV owners and will be making our first visit soon:yay:

I was wondering if anyone has put bed rails on the sofa sleepers at GCV (I assume all sofa sleepers might be the same, so I'll take answers for any resorts).

I have a DD2 that sleeps in a crib so this would be her first time out of one. She'll be sleeping with DD5 on the sofa bed.

My guide said that all GCV come with a highchair and you can request bed rails and a full size crib. Does anyone know if this is true and who do I request these with? I also have a DS 4 months, so a crib is preferred.

Thanks is advance.

If they have bedrails that can be pushed under the matress, they should also work for the sofa. On the other side, the sofas are pretty low, so maybe bedrails aren't even needed.

At WDW you can request bed rails, at least I have received them at values. DVC units have a pack-n-play in the room. After that I have not had a need for rails. After the older brother on one side then the couch arm and moving a coffee table, chair and/or couch cushions, I have not needed bed rails.

Another option is sleeping 90 degrees off then the younger one can have the couch on 3 sides..

I've read that many have brought or rented bed rails from local companies and used them on the sleeper sofas at WDW.

I would check with MS to see if you can a crib. The DVC actually provides a pack 'n play in the room. But sometimes with resorts attached to a cash resort you can still get a crib. How whether you'll have room for a crib is another story.

Bedrails work fine on both the sleeper sofas AND the pullout sleeper chairs. We've used them for the last 4 trips.

Our 2 youngest are "active sleepers". We put rails on both sides of the chair and one on the side where my youngest sleeps (with her older sister) on the sofa bed.

I'm surprised so many have used bedrails on a sofa sleeper. Most bedrails are made to be put between an normal mattress and box spring, and are not recommended on anything else because the weight of the mattress is needed to ensure the bedrail stays in place. :confused3

All of the sleeper sofas are not the same. So what works on one, might not work on the other.
