Can anyone tell me about the new Ice Cool Station?

I am extremely bummed that they got rid of the igloo and arctic theme - that was half the fun of going in there!

:sad2:

Thanks for the link!!! Great pics!! Not at all what I had pictured in my head.

We kind of missed the walk thru igloo part of Ice Station Cool.
They changed the name of it too........
It kind of has a club feel to it, with bright lights and colors. No more cute little Coke cups to sample your drinks in, just plain old dixie cups.

We walked in and then right back out this last trip.

No igloo and no coke cups....I think I'll pass over this one now :sad2:

Even though I will miss the ice & igloo I am still excited to go back this year. It wasn't open last summer when we were there. It's so hot in the summer its a nice break to taste the different drinks. Hey it's not too often you get free drinks at WDW!

<------ Hi, I'm, a Coke addict (Coca Cola ;) ) So I will definately be going to see this when we go next month. I don't remember this being there the last time I went to Epcot.

The Italian Coke product is called Beverly and its actually not used the way we drink Coke here. Its an aperitif. Its usually consumed before a meal to stimulate the appetite.

Exactly where in Italy do they drink this horrible stuff? I have never heard of such a thing. I know they drink Limoncello AFTER a meal.....small quantity...and they say it is for stimulating the digestive system. Of course, it is grain alcohol and some feel they need more stimulation than others. ;) They also drink carbonated water BEFORE drinking coffee to stimulate the palate. I have NEVER seen such a beverage (this Beverly) offered in a restaurant or otherwise. :confused3 Not unless it is just recycled flat wine and carbonated water that has gone bad :lmao: Personally, this stuff seems more like burnt rubber.

The watermelon coke is good - but my personal favorite is the one no one seems to like, and I don't remember the name of it. It's the drink from Italy - hope it's still there!!!

I also really like the Beverly. Last time I was there I did about three cups in a row and kids were staring at me whispering, "OMG someone actually likes that stuff?"

:rotfl2:

I think I disturbed my crew greatly by knocking back a nice few tall dixie cups of Beverly, going on Mission Space, and then stopping back for a little more Beverly!

I also like the vegetable soda from Japan that no one seems to like much either, but my true soda love is Beverly. :lovestruc

I wonder if they have the soon to be released Coke Blak?

It is a cold drink of half Coke and have coffee.

This is quoted from Allearsnet....

Beverly - Italy
Drinking an aperitif before dinner to stimulate the appetite is a traditional part of Italian refreshment culture. Beverly, with its bitter flavor, is a popular non-alcoholic aperitif.

Add in that its "quinine" flavored, as described on a website I found.

And to the person who was wondering about Coke Blak....Are you sure its half Coke/half coffee??? The commercials describe it as "The effervescence of Coke, with the ESSENCE of coffee"....Sounds more like a flavor thing to me. And I doubt You'll see any American Coke at Ice Station Cool(Club Cool).

Thanks for the info. It still does not really help me out much. The Italians I know don't drink anything like this Beverly. Maybe it is just regional.

Sorry....I looked all over for better info, but could find none...most info i found came from either a Disney related site or from a site talking about the World of Coke in Atlanta, GA.

I don't care what the place looks like, as long as they carry Smart Watermelon I'm there...by far the best soda I've ever had

That is what I found too. The only before dinner drinks I have ever seen were alcoholic....beer, wine and the hard stuff. Other than that, it is just plain Coke and carbonated water. After dinner is usually Limoncello (at least for my region). I still think Coke is pulling our leg with this horrible beverage sample. :teeth:

I don't like it nearly as much anymore. It is not as fun as it used to be.

I agree. The past two times we went, the melty ice igloo thing wasn't working right, and the whole place was dank and dark, and yucky. :confused3 As long as they have free pop samples, it's all right with me. :thumbsup2

I heard some ppl bring water bottles in and fill them up with the free pop. hmmmm.... ;)

I would bring in 2-liters and fill them up with watermelon coke if they'd let me!! Would buy tons of the stuff if they sold it there. I also liked the igloo atmosphere, but the change won't keep me away from free watermelon coke!!!!!!!!
