Lounge Fly-Why?

Can someone please tell me why I should consider buying a lounge fly backpack. I know they're extremely popular, but is there a special reason? Or is it just that they're kind of cute? My DGD just requested one (she's 14 yo), and it is adorable, but gosh, they're so expensive. What makes them more desirable than a regular backpack?

I prefer their regular crossbody bags to their backpacks. The thing I like about Loungefly is that they are good quality. I have had mine for a long time and they have held up well. So I don’t mind paying a little more. Plus, they aren’t as expensive as the Dooney bags . . .

I think they look cute, but I have no desire for any of the designs. My DIL though, loves them and earns enough to buy as many as she wants to go with her WDW outfits LOL! It would be a thoughtful gift for a kid...

They are fun and cute, a good size when you dont want a big bag. Compared to some bags they are are very reasonable. There are ones on Hot Topic or Box Lunch tend to be less, and of course the sale section on the Loungefly website. I have also found less exspensive or sale ones on Amazon too. If they are interested in a specific character you can search by that.

They’re not my style but I can appreciate that they’re cute…I just don’t understand how folks wear them as a primary bag in the parks. They look uncomfortable and impractical?

Mostly because they are cute.
Its faux leather which generally works better as a backpack purse than nylon etc.
They are pretty durable.
For a 14yr old that wants it for a backpack purse I'd definitely get it. Its not for using as a school backpack.
As an adult I have a couple but I tend to not use them as much as my regular purse but 14yr old me would have used the heck out of it.

They are just cute and good quality. My daughter has two - one we got at steep discount. I sometimes see ones I personally like, but I need a bigger bag

Thanks! I didn't know that they have crossbody bags. I thought all Loungefly were backpacks. I'll have to look at WDW next week.

I'm guessing if she asked for a Loungefly then she is interested in a mini backpack.
I'd get clarification before purchasing something.

I think they caught on because the size and durable construction works well in the parks. Some are really cute. There’s so many that over time it’s easy to find ‘the one’ - a character or theme you love and a style you think nailed it.

After many years I finally caved and must say they function well to carry park essentials. You can throw them around, carry it comfortably, get it wet, and still holds up trip after trip. DVC discount is the way to go here
