I need one Magic kingdom ticket for April 15th. I was waiting on my daughters work schedule. We are from MA and she lives in FL. We wanted to spend the day with her. We have reservations on the 15th to MK. It is her only day off while we are in FL. Anyone have ideas (no reservations) or anyone not using a ticket? We would love to spend the day in MK with her.

Tickets and park reservations are two separate things. A ticket does not have a date associated with it; the park reservation is what gives you access on a specific date. You need them both.

I am happy to be corrected, but I am unaware of any mechanism for transferring a park reservation from one person to another, so your request for someone "not using a ticket" won't do much.

Unfortunately, none of the parks are showing availability that date.

I swear I read here somewhere that if you are a Disney resort guest there may be availability that you don't otherwise see if you aren't, they're separate buckets, but that could be incorrect.

Also, can you do a park hopper in this scenario? Then you could at least spend time with her after 2 PM, right?

(Caveat: I haven't been to the parks since the reservation system was implemented.)

as noted, a ticket and a park reservation are two different things, and she'd need both. If there aren't any park reservations available, someone can't just transfer one to her.

If she doesn't have a ticket, you won't be able to try and book her a park reservation until she gets a ticket. If you're staying onsite then maybe add her to your room to put her in a different bucket for park reservations? That won't help if the resort guest bucket is sold out too.

Hopper won't help unless she can get some other park reserved. If none of the parks have any availability, then she can't scan into one in order to later park hop to MK

There are no tickets available. I was hoping to find someone with a ticket to MK and a reservation(if transferrable). If there was a hopper, I would buy it. There are no ticket or reservations available.
We are staying at Pop. She is not on our reservation because she lives in FL. I miss her :-(

You can add her name to your reservation even if she is not staying in your room. That would place her into the “guests with room reservations” pool to (perhaps) open up a new category from which to try to get a ticket and reservation. That’s what a previous poster meant. Then, if you keep stalking, she would be eligible for the guests with tickets AND guest with hotel reservations, giving you a little better shot of getting something if it were to pop up in either one of those categories.

The reason you can't buy a one-day ticket on April 15 is because there are no park reservations available for any park. The website won't give the option to even purchase the ticket. Could keep looking and see if something opens up, it's not guaranteed to be MK. MK usually sells out first.

Even the select resort hotels reservation bucket has no availability at any park. So the suggestion to put her on the reservation (even if she is not staying in the room) would currently not solve anything. again could look and see if something opens up.

Even if the OP could get their daughter a one-day park ticket by having another person transfer one, they can't book her any park reservations anywhere much less just at MK.

If they're onsite, they can try talking to a resort concierge, or they can try going to guest relations prior to the 15th. That might be the busiest day of all spring break, so probably no guarantees they can do anything.

Thank you. I'm calling now.

UPDATE: I called and there are no tickets/reservations even if I add her to my hotel. But, if I had a comp ticket she could get in. Comp tickets have no blackouts.

I think I’ve heard success stories of trying day of at the park itself. But maybe that was for party tickets…
