So Df and I are still awaiting on some schedules from school which has made it extremely hard to plan a trip! Don't people know if you wanna go somewhere good you need to make plans way in advance!?! So I called to try and reserve the Chef's Table at V&A for any day between Dec 14-20. Everything was already booked... which I figured it would be. But I got put on a waitlist. The lady told me that most times people get put on a waitlist they get in... but I'm haveign trouble believing her. :confused3

I'm hoping someone can help me out here... Anyone else been put on the waitlist there? Did you get in or not?

1) A lot of wait-listed people do get in.
2) Too many make the ressie on impulse, then figure out the cost.
3) Also, many find out it is not what they expected.
4) Other chef's tables put you right-in-the-middle of everything.
5) The V&A chef's table truly does not since the change.

NOTE: We prefer NOT to do the Chef's Table. It was really cool at one time and we enjoyed it greatly, but that was before they put in "The Fence". This really stops the feeling of being part of the kitchen. We would rather do the main dining room, as it is more romantic.

Well thanks so much for at least giving me some reasons why we might get in. Thanks for the advice too on what to expect. This is something we really want to do because we never get to do anything really fancy or special... so hopefully I'll get a call that they got us in :goodvibes

We were on waitlist for it last year, and got called that it was available- so don't lose hope!
